Decorated artificial wreath and garland with lights on a console table

Greenery adds warmth and charm to your favorite spaces in any season. When ordering artificial wreaths and garlands, note that most come compressed and packed in boxes. You need to shape the greenery to achieve the desired fullness. Learn quick and easy tips with our guide on how to fluff wreaths and garlands.

HOW TO UNBOX YOUR WREATH AND GARLAND

Step 1   |   Find the side labeled for opening.

Step 2   |   Open the flap and carefully slide out your wreath or garland.

Large artificial wreaths measuring 48” and above come folded in two. Unfold the wreath to reveal its frame. On the back of the wreath, you’ll find two latches to secure the folded sections together. (WATCH HERE.)

Note that garlands are also folded for shipping.

Step 3   |   If needed, keep the box for storage. Set aside the extra bulbs and fuses included with pre-lit models.

HOW TO FLUFF AN ARTIFICIAL WREATH

Step 4   |   Slightly curve the tips to fill in gaps and create a smooth, rounded silhouette.

Step 5   |   After shaping, stand back and check your work. Adjust any stray tips.

Step 6   |   For decorated wreaths, adjust the tips to make sure the accents are visible.
