Expert Tips

Assembling Your Balsam Hill™ Tree

Balsam Hill™ prides itself on the quality of its products, and wants you to enjoy your tree for many years to come. The online Assembly, Use, & Care Instructions Guide shows you how easy it is to set up and maintain your Balsam Hill Christmas tree.

Shape the tree section by section, starting at the bottom. So, if your tree comes in 3 sections, shape the lowest section before putting the second section on top. You might also consider tying up the higher levels of branches in the sections to keep them out of your way. You can use the ribbon that came on your tree. Learn more

Tip: Save that ribbon for wrapping up your tree after the season

Image 1

Working branch by branch, separate individual branch tips and pull them away from the center of the tree.

Image 2

Separate and spread outward-facing branch tips. Your branches should resemble a peacock’s fanned tail.

Image 3

Gently bend the branch tips upward to create the lush fullness of a real tree. Repeat separating and shaping to fill in gaps.

The less you compress your tree at the end of the season, the less work you will have when setting up next year.

Dismantle the sections of the tree from the top down.

If you kept the ribbon that was wrapped around your tree when you got it, use it to tie up the branches once you fold them back up. Place sections in provided storage bags. Store in a cool, dry location.
