How Do I Decorate with Felt Christmas Tree Ornaments?

Felt animal ornaments impart a traditional and rustic feel to your Christmas decorations, delighting people of all ages. They are a classic and versatile décor that can bring instant cheer to your holiday home. Here are some of the ways you can decorate with them.

• Spread Christmas Cheer With a Decorated Tree

Make these adorable felt critters the stars of your holiday tree. Add Christmas balls, finials, and ribbon in complementary colors or designs to keep your tree decorations cohesive and in-theme.

• Let Little Hands in on the Fun

Children would love to decorate their own Christmas trees with these felt Christmas ornaments. Lightweight and softer compared to glass or hard plastic ornaments, you won’t have to worry about little hands handling the décor. Consider placing a small Christmas tree in a secondary area, like a playroom or den, for them to adorn with their own set of felt ornaments. This can be a fun new holiday tradition to begin with the younger members of the family.

• Create a Charming Christmas Scene

Design a Christmas scene on your holiday mantel, bookshelves, or entryway console table with felt animal ornaments as the main characters. Add them to your Christmas village setup and advent calendars or hang them along with your Christmas stockings. They would also make a charming addition to your Christmas tablescape or centerpiece design.

• Complement Your Christmas Tree with Other Greenery

Echo your whimsical Christmas tree display by making coordinating wreaths and garlands. Hang the same felt Christmas ornaments on your indoor greenery. Their poses and antics will add a pop of charm and color to your mantel garlands or window wreaths.

How Do I Care for Felt Christmas Decorations?

Maintain the beauty and charm of your felt Christmas decorations for years to come with these care tips.

• At the end of the season, carefully remove each felt ornament from the tree and wipe with a clean, soft cloth or soft-bristled brush. Avoid using harsh cleaners or abrasive chemicals, which may cause damage and void your warranty.
• Store décor in a Christmas ornament storage box to protect it from dust and damage. You may opt to wrap each ornament in acid-free tissue. Do not use colored tissue or paper as the colors may transfer and stain your ornaments.
• Consider adding silica gel packets or similar products that reduce moisture in storage, to inhibit mold or mildew growth.
