Domestic Shipping Information
When can I expect my product to arrive?
 

Balsam Hill wants you to receive your products as soon as possible. We stock our products in multiple locations across the country in order to help you get your products quickly. In many cases, products will arrive 2-3 business days after you place your order.

If your product is in stock in the warehouse closest to you, the map below shows the estimated order processing and Ground shipping time for your delivery. (Orders must be placed by 10 AM Eastern or 7 AM Pacific Monday - Friday for these estimates to apply.)

Please note that FedEx does not guarantee delivery times for Ground shipments. If you wish to receive your products by a certain date, please choose our expedited shipping options. Also please note that FedEx Standard Overnight and Two-Day Air services do not deliver on weekends or holidays, but only on non-holiday Mondays through Fridays.

  • Standard Overnight: Orders received by 10AM EST will arrive in 1 business day
  • Two-Day Air: Orders received by 10AM EST will arrive in 2 business days

When will my order ship?
  Orders placed by 10AM EST (7AM PST) will ship the same business day. Orders placed after 10AM EST (7AM PST) ship the following business day. Orders placed after 10AM EST (7AM PST) Friday will ship on Monday. Please note that our total delivery time includes time for order processing at our warehouses and for shipping via FedEx.



Where can I find Canadian and International Shipping Information?

We have partnered with Bongo International Parcel and Mail Forwarding to service our international customers.

Bongo International provides its customers with their very own US address (not a P.O. Box). Once you have a US address, you will be able to make purchases with us as well as other US based online retailers. Bongo receives your purchases and logs them into their online system where you can consolidate them with other orders.

What shipping options do I have?
  We offer 3 methods of shipping via Federal Express: 

  • Ground Shipping: Free ground shipping in the continental USA for orders of $100 or more with the exception a few of our over-sized trees that incur special shipping charges (please refer to "What are my shipping charges?" below for details.) Based on the distance between our warehouses and your shipping destination, your product will be in transit from two to five business days.

  • Two-Day Air: Once shipped, your product will be in transit for two business days.

  • Standard Overnight: Once shipped, your product will arrive the following business day.


For large orders and orders of oversized items, please select the "Call for Special Shipping Arrangements" option. Our customer service agents will work with you to determine the best shipping method for your order.

Note: for some small items, like replacement bulbs, small replacement parts and scented ornaments, they will be sent via USPS instead of FedEx Ground. Expedited orders will still be sent via FedEx.
Shipping to PO boxes and APO addresses
  We currently are unable to ship to PO boxes or APO  addresses. Please supply a physical mailing address when filling out your shipping information.
What if I change my mind about my order after it is shipped?
  After the item is shipped we cannot cancel the order. If you would like to return your product please follow our standard Return Policy. Please note that if you choose to refuse delivery of your package(s) instead of following our return procedures, you will be charged a $75 service fee per package.
My package was damaged or lost during shipment.
  Damaged Package

  • Please notify us within 7 days of receipt of a damaged package with the UPC code on the damaged carton and a complete description of the damage.

  • Balsam Hill will have FedEx pick up the damaged packages for inspection.  As long as the damaged item is still in stock, we will send a replacement item.


Lost Package

  • If you have not received your package after the date that FedEx estimated the package to be delivered, please contact us. If there is a tracking number that shows the package in transit, but not moving after a certain date, we will follow up with FedEx and will provide you with an update within 24 business hours.

  • If your tracking number shows that your package was delivered, but you did not receive it, please contact us. If your order contained more than one box, we will need to get the tracking numbers of the boxes that were received.  We will work with FE and get back to you with a solution within 24 business hours.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico?
  Yes, we do ship to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, though you will be charged a shipping fee for these regions.
What are my shipping charges?
 
  • Ground shipping in the continental USA is free for orders of $100 or more for the majority of our trees.


  • Some of our over-sized trees incur special shipping charges; these include our 15' Vermont White Spruce, 18' California Baby Redwood, 20' Rockefeller Pine, and 25' Rockefeller Pine. These items requiring special freight shipping are oversized and cannot be shipped via normal shipping services. Freight charges will need to be calculated based on your shipping address. Contact customer service at 888-552-2572 or customerservice@balsamhill.com for a shipping quote. Shipping address and delivery area information will need to be available (dock access, driveway, upstairs, etc.). Orders will be shipped via designated Freight Company based on delivery zip code. Please allow additional time for delivery.


  • For orders less than $100, we charge a flat rate of $5.99 per order for Ground shipping in the continental USA.


  • For expedited shipping charges and addresses outside the continental USA, shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered shipping method choices and their prices. We will ship your order shortly after we receive payment from you.


My order never arrived.
  Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to track your order status. Be sure that all of the items in your order have shipped already. If your order displays your Package Tracking Numbers, check with the shipper to confirm that your packages were delivered. If your packages each show a status of "delivered", please contact customer service for assistance.
An item is missing from my shipment.
  Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to track your order status. Be sure that all of the items in your order have shipped already. If your order displays your Package Tracking Numbers, check with the shipper to confirm that your packages were delivered. If your packages each show a status of "delivered", please contact customer service for assistance.
My product is missing parts.

I received the wrong product.
  If you feel that you have received the wrong product, please contact customer service within 72 hours of receiving the product.
