New for 2007, our Rocky Mountain Pine is unique for its short pine needle tips, which distinguish it from the rest of the trees in our collections. If you roll these needles in your fingertips, you will feel the texture is just like a real needle. Modeled after nature's Rocky Mountain White Pine, this marvelous tree is perfect for those who want a pine needle tree without having to clean up the needles on the floor after Christmas!

The Rocky Mountain White Pine's scientific name is Pinus flexilis, and is commonly called the Limber Pine because its twigs are so flexible that they can be tied in a knot! Our Rocky Mountain Pine variety resembles the Limber Pine with branches that are perfectly flexible but will hold their shape incredibly well to display your ornaments perfectly. All you need to do is shape the branch tips right where you want them and then hang your favorite ornaments (tying the branches in knots is optional!)

You'll find that even up close this tree looks incredibly natural (click on our Super Zoom photo to view the foliage up close). This lifelike appearance is achieved by a meticulous attention to detail, evidenced by a pleasant mix of dark-green and lighter-green pine needles.
